Kuntao Silat FamilyMy name is Rose a.k.a. mywhitty, I want to say thank you and to let this community know how Kuntao Silat has and still progresses in my life.My Mother is eighty seven years young, and is physically having some major problems. She is in need of surgery to replace her hip, along with bone grafts to the pelvic bone, and the femur as well. Now Mom is sharp as a tack mentally and feisty as they come. She is a Constitutionalist and a gun-toting Grandma.I am her sixty-two year young daughter and also of like mind (in most areas), also a Grandma who believes in self-defense therefore I also have my gun.Mom needs therapy now and after surgery and also a need to learn to use a cane. The Combat Cane video is serving this purpose quite well. I am not in need of a cane as yet, but see many very useful purposes in carrying one, and learning to use it in emergency.Anyone who tries to hurt Mother is in for a rude awakening, what she is learning from Pak Chas Clements, combined with an eighty seven year old lady . . . what a surprise!!One other thing, I have had my share of medical problems as well, including the problem of stuffing my mouth with all the wrong foods. With YahSheua's guidance, a small amount of common sense, some discipline and the video Malabar warm up exercises; Gee, I am starting to look and feel good again.Living in the mountains, and having a wood stove for heat, I have to stack the wood. I find the horse stance very useful in this chore. (Wow my legs are sore) but stronger every day and my back is in good shape. Mother's sense of humor is in full force watching me ~~ laughter is also a plus.To sum this up; even a couple of old lady novices can and do and will continue to benefit from this program. Thank You Sigung Steve, and all the rest of you folks ~ you all have contributed to our lives in a most important way.Highest Regards & Blessings,Rose & Mom

You are an inspiration to say the least and a true testament to this art. I am a believer in this system and have completely sold my self to it so it is good to see others from very diverse backgrounds, situations, and ages doing the same.God BlessTravis C
