Terima kasih Tuhan untuk AKTS!My name is Don Louiz, I go by the name Louiz. I have practiced martial arts since 1997. I do not claim to know more than just the basics, and yet I thirst for more knowledge. I have been affiliated with other Silat practitioners from various parts of the world, yet all of them seem not to have a martial way integrated within their art. One practitioner told me the reason why he loved Silat was because he wanted to be a killer. Let's just say I watched his image become a small speck in my rear view mirror.I was awarded a ranking of guru in a form of Silat that looks more like small circle Jujistsu years ago and also a form of Kuntaw/Kuntao which seems like something a cop would use to arrest someone, plus basic baton moves. I am not saying police do not have excellent fight moves, I would just like to expand on what I know.I came to this website years ago but never enrolled because I had had my share of strange philosophy in Silat. So as I saw Sigung Steve mention YHWV's (Tuhan's) name earlier, I called on HIS wisdom and he directed me back to AKTS. Since enrolling I have had warm welcomes and an online fellowship with some amazing people! I look forward to knowing each and everyone of the active members on this forum. Also the idea Sigung Steve talked about a martial lifestyle was like a spiritual flaming dart that struck dead center on what I was looking for. At this point I would like to let anyone in my area know that I teach what I know currently to kids at The White Center Salvation Army on Fridays From 4PM till I pass out from exhaustion, which thanks be to YHWV has not happened yet. This course is free. My wife is Indonesian and has family that practiced Silat in Indonesia. I look forward learning all that I can from you.. I will at this point switch to what looks to me like a more well thought out system which is what AKTS seems to me to represent. I say to my students "Shalom" as my hand opens to them I also say this to all of you.
