Many of us who grow up on martial arts entertainment like movies, television, or video games often come across the classic, “montage” where the protagonist is made to hold horse stance or something similar whilst being berated by the master.
Most of the classical martial arts originally required long hours of stance training before…[Read more]

Greetings to the KTS community!

Level One can seem overwhelming, as in a sense, it has 90% or more of the curriculum. All of the fundamental hand work, leg work, stances, the Kendang…[Read more]

Aric Fowler I think you’ll find that no matter how many times you SAY this, no one gets it until they feel how solid you are. Then even though you’ve told them a hundred times, they still think it’s magical somehow. I can attest though, you are the epitome of hard work in this art Estevan. What a pleasure it is to watch someone work so hard and…[Read more]

August 19, 2017 · Fanna, Italy ·“..You will soon discover through practice that stance and posture are even more important than you had first imagined. They are the very foundation of fluency of movement, as well of accurate and effective delivery of blows and kicks. Unless you learn to stand properly, that is, to gain the c…[Read more]
